SV Series Concert Snare Drums features 10-ply shells constructed from cross-grained New England maple. We hand pick only the finest maple shells, offering a traditional warm tone and superior resonance. Four elegant, hand rubbed, lacquer finishes are available: Natural Maple, Charcoal Ebony, Deep Mahogany, and Rich Walnut.
Combining "state-of-the-art" DNC automation technology and old-world craftsmen ship, we painstakingly craft our "bearing edges" and "snare beds" to optimize drumhead vibration and drum shell resonance. A feathered 45-degree edge allows for easy tuning, precise drumhead seating and consistent attack and decay across a wide dynamic range. Our DNC machining system allows for extremely close tolerances (.001) while our final "hand-sanding" process assures a silky smooth finish.
