Job Summary:
We seek a versatile A/V and Integrated Systems Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in audio/visual systems and a broad skill set in data cabling, fiber optic installation, and access control systems. This role demands a proactive approach, adaptability, and a commitment to providing high-quality service across various technical domains.
Responsibilities:
• Design, install, and maintain A/V systems, including projectors, speakers, and video conferencing equipment.
• Perform installations and services on data cabling (including Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a), fiber optic networks, and access control systems.
• Conduct thorough site surveys to assess project requirements and determine optimal installation strategies for all types of systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across A/V, data cabling, fiber optics, and access control systems, ensuring reliable operation and minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their system needs and deliver customized, integrated solutions.
• Provide training and support to clients, enabling them to use and maintain their systems effectively.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in A/V and integrated system installations.
• Installation of Panduit jacks and ability to use DSX Fluke tester
• Capable identify and labeling Cat 5e and 6 cable.
• Closet terminations (110 / 66 blocks and Patch Panels).
• Ability to think on your feet and improvise when needed.
• Ensure we have everything needed to complete a job.
• Work hand in hand with client to ensure we meet their requirements.
•Perform all terminations, testing, and documentation on both copper and fiber optics is required.
Requirements:
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Work anywhere in the Dallas / Fort Worth area for work.
• Strong background in data cabling and fiber optic installations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Strong communication skills, effectively interacting with clients and team members.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying workloads and project requirements.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
Preferred:
• Experience in A/V systems.
• Experience in access control systems.
• Capable of performing all of the tasks mentioned above in addition to performing lead-level responsibilities on crews ranging from 2-10 technicians.
• Relevant technical certifications.
