My AC units need to be recharged with coolant. I just need more R22 coolant. I’m in the midst of replacing my roof so I can’t purchase a new AC right now. They are made by Goodman. They are 20 years old. I have a 3 and a 4 ton. They both have micro leaks according to Sears HVAC tech. In three years (summers)of service Sears HVAC tech couldn’t find these leaks. I just dropped Sears a few months ago so that I can save to have them replaced. For now I just need to recharge them. I’ve purchased 2 lbs R22 tank recharge kit online for $170. So hearing quotes of $200 - $450 per lbs is insane! I put the 2 lbs in my 3 ton condenser but it was not enough.
