This table features a floating dark Laminate top surface with gorgeous Teak sculptural base.
The legs are cleverly inset, with subtle understated curves and linear lines , giving the top a floating quality and an overall jauntiness to the stance of the table
The "floating top" design is characterized by a tabletop that appears to hover slightly above the base, creating a visual gap that adds to the table's aesthetic appeal.
The "floating" appearance is achieved by setting the tabletop on small spacers or blocks that are slightly recessed from the edge of the table, creating a shadow line that emphasizes the separation between the top and the base. Made during the 50's and 60's and a much sought after mid Century piece.
Structured in solid wood with Gorgeous laminate floating table top. It's compact and very stylish.This piece is attributed to the mentioned Jens Risom / Ico Parisi style of design /maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official watermarks or stickers on the body.
It's most definitely a vintage piece and it looks sturdy and in great vintage condition with some surface scratches and scuffs from use and wear.
