Here we have an affinity stratocaster that I used for many hours and tracks in the recording studio. I lowered the action, polished the frets, adjusted the truss rod, adjusted the intonation, blocked the tremolo, raised the pickups, oiled the real rosewood fretboard, )from back when these still came with real rosewood). With the low action and nice fret job, this guitar is a joy for slides, hammer-ons, bends and vibrato. This guitar has a battle scar on the back side behind the jack, right where it's usually not visible, but it's just in the finish, and the guitar body is fine, At any rate, $200 gets you this nicely set up and broken in vintage guitar with a gig bag, that has proven itself live and in the studio.
I kind of feel like I should keep this guitar because it's the one on so many of my recordings, but it's time to let this one go to someone in a similar place to where I was when I got it: Not a lot of money, but a lot of drive and desire to make music. I'm positive this squier is set up so much better than new, and will beat any similar model made in the last 20 years.
I prefer you come pick this up in Desoto, right off 35 at the Pleasant Run exit, but I can also deliver downtown for $20. Elsewhere? Just ask!
